High Cholesterol at Whataburger

Calorie intake is the main concern for people with high cholesterol while dining at a fast-food restaurant like Whataburger. Well, you can always try the Lighter & Smaller options from the menu to cut down your fat intake. Opting for grilled sandwich or burgers are preferred compared to double meat or triple meat cheesy burgers which contain high cholesterol.

Foods to Avoid at Whataburger for High Cholesterol

Cut down on your meat intake to control your high cholesterol. You must skip Double Meat Whataburger and Triple Meat Whataburger at all costs. Sweat & Spicy Bacon Burger will add extra 1080 calories in your diet so skip that as well. Whatacatch Dinner may sound tempting but the famous fish sandwich is also full of calories and unhealthy fat. Lastly, avoid French Fries and Onion Rings at Whataburger if you are already ordering a burger or any other heavy meal.

My second visit. I gave this place my full support on my prior post. Sorry to say that I will not go back. First visit was perfect in customer service and food. This visit as I always do, ordered the exact thing. I was not asked how I wanted my burger cooked. The frys came up immediately and sat there until the order was complete. The burger took 5 minutes to come up. On a to go order this is everything. They came home cold, soggy and greasy. The burger was just okay. I make better ones. The burger left a film coating in my mouth. Customer service was awful. The person was a million miles away.

How a burger and fries should be. Been here a dozen times and never let down. The rest of the menu is tasty and well thought out.

I have been anticipating going here for a few weeks, and I wanted to take my kids. We decided to stop and eat prior to a Rays game instead of eating the overpriced cruddy food at the game....I'm very glad we stopped. We were given the 411 from the guy behind the counter, he told us about the system and some of the specialty sauces and items...he even encouraged us to get a few of the sauces on the side to try. He told us all the burgers were Kobe beef.....I'm a bit skeptical of this fact. Is it 100% Kobe or a blend? Anyway, the burgers are very good. The chocolate shake was a classic black and white, and my youngest loved her dog. Don't expect mcdonalds pricing. For the 4 of us(2 adults, 13 year old, and 7 year old) our bill was $47 for 3 burgers, 2 small fries, 2 choc shakes, kids dog meal, and 2 sodas. We will definitely go back, and I'm thrilled we have this new "upscale" burger spot close to home.

Great burger...awesome service. I took one star off because of price... A burger, fry and drink should not cost $15 without tip. Its not that good!

It'just a burger place... it-s better than fast food, but it's a bit overhyped. DO NOT have them put an egg on it to make it a royale... they all but cremated the egg. The attitude by the staff was a little less than welcoming, and they forgot to read back our order, which lead to the inevitable messed up order. On the bright side, they did acknowledge the mistake and refired the sandwich, which is better then other restaurants in the area. Overall, not bad... still looking for that In and Out burger... we'll keep looking.

Great place with a great burger the way you want it. Very friendly staff and a boat load of TV s. Burgers were juicy with plenty of choices to prepare. Great location in Safety Harbor.Make sure you get the strawberry cake.

I have been coming here since they opened the doors; Always clean and pleasant staff. Still great burgers, dogs, fries and shakes, ( SHAKES ARE GREAT!) nothing has changed, except the music. The tunes used to be blues and classic, now, same'ol kiddie stuff you hear every place else you go... please, please, please, bring back the class and ambiance you opened with... I'll gladly bump up to five stars if you get back out of the mainstream!!! Kevin R. Safety Harbor

Writing this review with the idea that they are still new and they will get better. My friend and I decided to try this place out because we never heard of it. They ended up charged us for two fries instead of one and they forgot to write pickles for one of the burgers. I kindly went up to one of the waiters and asked him to put pickles on both of the burgers and he said he would get on it (he didn't because it came without them). We also ordered chocolate milk shakes but they tasted awful (like a mixture of chocolate and mocha with a bad after taste). Not very good. Hopefully they'll get better but probably not going back.

This place is pricey but the burger was very good. The fries were just okay. I still rather have the Golden Arches fries. The chocolate shake was chocolatey and delicious. (I prefer my shakes thick, though) this was kinda like drinking chocolate milk. For two adults and two kids the price tag was almost $50. So go in knowing this.

Finally had the burger today. Out of this world. Now it's a little more expensive than your average crappy fast food burger, but you totally get what you pay for. It's my new favorite burger place. And the French fries are kick ass too. Everybody has to check it out at least once.

Holy Toledo Burger Monger Safety Harbor is amazing. If you order a burger here the same way you would an in and out burger, they are practically interchangeable! The monger dogs are soooo tasty. The onion slaw and mustard kraut are wow! We discovered this place a few months ago and eat here weekly if not bi-weekly. This place quickly moved up on our regular dining list. They do all kinds of discounts like student, military, etc and have great specials each weekday night.

I understand that the kobe beef is really good. But if that's the only difference among other burger joints...then let the price speak for itself. I don't get why all the sides gotta be costly... i mean fries is like 4 bucks? cmon guys. As far as taste , the burger was yummy. I do like that you can decorate your burger with all these condiments without charge. They need to make some combos though instead of pricing everything by item... cmon.. i think it's common sense to have a fries and a drink with your burger. The strawberry milkshake was very good. The service was fast. I wasn't a fan of the Mac and cheese. But I appreciate the effort as a different side rather than fries. Fries were ok. Could've used more seasoning. Overall...this place is OK with me. But still can't knock the king down.... FIVE GUYS.

Burgers like my Mom made when I was a kid! So delicious and just enough!!! But I want another one now.

  • Kevin O.

Pricey but a damn good burger. A double with fries cost $13 which is a bit more than Five Guys. It was amazingly fresh and juicy and the staff helped with the extensive menu. This will be good for a once on a while treat, not a regular stop.

Good burgers, great fries, good service! We arrived for lunch on the first full day of operation. There were a couple of glitches--to be expected--which were handled by the facility manager to our satisfaction. We had checked the Burger Monger website and thought it would be similar to Five Guys--it's not, it's better!

Got take out from there tonight as they are so close to us. First time there. The burger I had was one of the best I have ever had. And I've had a lot of them. I got mine Medium-Well and it was cooked to perfection. Juicy, and delicious. They are pricy, but worth it. Wanted to pick up the meal at 5:00, and it was right on time. Will definitely be a return customer!

Been here 3 times and the food is consistently good... As a matter of fact probably the best burgers I've ever had....though pricey ....but them again you have to pay for GOOD....I'm will now be a regular ...

Overall, BurgerMonger is a pretty awesome place. The service is excellent and the food is awesome. The burgers are pretty legit. The fries are underwhelming and clearly not the focal point. The one negative is price. An average lunch for two is around 30 dollars, and that's not splurging on things like milkshakes, etc. However, I understand their concept: a good burger is going to have a high cost.

Tried them today for take out. Got a burger, fries, chopped salad and a shake to split with my sister. It was a ton of food and pretty tasty! I will definitely go back. Prices are higher than a normal burger place but they seem to use better ingredients (like haagen dazs for shakes) so I'm willing to pay more.

High quality, juicy burger. Liked the options. Good service with attentive employees. Loved the fries...real cut potatoes! The 1lb fries was enough for 2 adults and a child to share.

I love the food here. I have been to the Tampa location many times and their food and service is always stellar. This was my first visit to the new Safety Harbor location. I like the floor plan. The place is clean. The veggie burger was excellent. They even left the butter off the bun as requested. But I took off stars for the service. It wasn't bad but it wasn't good and definitely not up to the standard set by the Tampa location. It was hard to find, we did not see any signage from the road. We took a lucky guess pulling into this plaza. When we came in they helped the person who came in after us first which was irritating since they didn't have enough money causing us to wait even longer while they went back to their car for the extra money. Then when my sons milkshake arrived they did not bring a straw. So he had to go back to the front for one. Lastly, I am vegan and they did not say anything about the fries containing animal fat when I ordered the veggie burger, the Tampa location told me right away when I ordered it there. Just disappointed with the service and it's probably more so because the Tampa location is so awesome and I am comparing them maybe unfairly.

Terrible burger. Over cooked. Plus the charge for cheese and everything else you put on it! Fries are not bad but 17.00 for a burger, drink and fries. Plus forgot the cheese. Never going back after trying it twice.

I gave Red Robin 3 stars. Burger Monger has better service, and not to mention they use KOBE cattle breed. Not to be confused with actual purebred KOBE cattle from Japan, but darn close to it. I like the Antibiotic free, perfectly marbled beef. The burger is smaller than Red's but what lacks in size, is made up in flavor and quality. It is very juicy. Every one was very polite, and eager to serve you...I will have to come back to this review in about 6 months when service at a restaurant may or may not go down. On weekdays, there are deals to save a buck ($5.00 burger monger Monday) . A group 4 can eat there for 40 bucks and be very full! Overall, it's clean, quiet, Giant T.V.'s everywhere, HAND CUT FRIES and an array of dipping sauces. Great place to grab a bite with the family, minus the bar atmosphere. I love the fact that they have Hagen Daaz Milk shakes and Chili Cheese fries. It's guilty food, without the guilty bloated feeling after one eats burgers anywhere else. Def. worth a visit!
